A Plea: To All,
A close family friend was diagnosed Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL), after having no symptoms of any illness. She underwent aggressive chemotherapy treatment, only to find out her only hope for help is through a bone marrow transplant. The procedure to find a match is an expensive one, and a charity has been set up to receive tax deductible donations to defray the high costs of testing others for the match.
If you can, please donate. Even a few dollars, literally a few, can go a long way if we can get enough people to assist.
As well, please link this post or, preferably, her website: Friends of Renee. The website includes testing and donation information.
Feel free to contact me as well, at j.wishnia.1 -at- alumni.nyu.edu with the subject of 'Bone Marrow.'
Thanks for your time.
